Do you think that one of the reasons why the press- especially the WH press corps- has been so slow to comment on this story MIGHT be that some of the journalists themselves have been compromised by their "associations" with G?
It could be as innocent as flirting- or drinks, dinner, a sporting event- or something more involved...
After all, G's been hanging out at their gatherings for more than 2 years. I'm sure no one believes he's the only one in the press corps who is gay. Under the right circumstances, with a certain type of guy, he could be quite seductive.
Many have speculated about WH staff liaisons, but I think we need also to pay attention to his "associates" in the press corps (and their reactions to this story).
David Brock? Pete Williams? Care to weigh in-- on what might be lurking beneath the surface of the story and why most journalists are so hesitant to comment?
Anyone heard from John King, lately?
Just saw Kurtz on Anderson Cooper's show- he's still trying to frame this as liberal bloggers going after a conservative journalist by attacking his personal life.
He added, "what's next- going after a journalist who's had an extra-marital affair because you don't like his politics?"
(by the way, Howie, G was NOT a journalist- he was a prostitute.)
